The Amish Furniture we carry here
at the Sled Shed is built by an Amish Family here in Michigan. The wood
used is an aromatic red cedar, known for its beauty and durability. We purchase
the furniture in kit form and then assemble and stain it. The stain we use
is a blend of an oil based wood preservative and a u.v. protectant designed
to withstand the elements. Our stain holds up well, but will need to be
retreated every few years to keep the color bright. We do stock the stain
that we use and it can be purchased here at the Sled Shed.
